In his founding role as President & CEO of Nektar Data Systems, Art Maat is responsible for supervising the products and services that the company offers. His area of expertise centers around the evangelism of industry best practices for data and asset management initiatives. He actively consults executive and operations level management of customer and partner companies.
Art has spent his entire life in the heavy equipment, site development, and green industries. He is currently President and CEO of the Edmonton operations within the Wilco Group of Companies. Art’s contribution to Nektar is tuned from his life long experience in managing company-wide operations while leveraging internally developed software solutions to support day-to-day data management procedures.
Art has provided innovative vision and leadership in the global marketing and sales success of the Nektar asset management systems, Histree, Arcsset, and Equipdata.
As well Art was instrumental in developing a strategic partnership with Egnyte, integrating Nektar asset management operations with a cloud hosted document management environment hosted by Egnyte. With this well rounded experience Art provides data collection, asset and document management consulting solutions to contractors, governments, transportation, utility, green, and oil and gas industries.
Chief Technology Officer
The primary architect and CTO, Mike is responsible for administrating the technical engineering of our solutions. His area of focus is towards researching and configuring technologies for the purpose of delivering the best solutions and value to our customers.
Continuing his family’s tradition, Mike has spent his early years of employment in the heavy equipment, site development, and green industries at Wilco. At a very young age Mike was active in IT and web development and has been a visionary of web and cloud commerce from the onset in the late 1990s. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta.
Mike is the lead engineer in the core technologies and development of Nektar Data Systems and was Nektar’s founding developer.
Chief Operating Officer
As the companies COO Chuck is responsible for directing the corporate operations and customer support activities of the company. His area of expertise is in leadership, customer relationship management and business organizational structures.
With over 20 years of experience while working with the top heavy machinery and equipment brands, such as Kenworth, Caterpillar, Ritchie Bros., etc., Chuck is highly regarded in management, sales and dealer operations. At the same time, he has also played a leading role in the development of software systems that streamline and drive efficiencies for each of these processes. He studied Marketing Management at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Chuck was instrumental at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, in redeveloping their Detailed Equipment Information program and this led to monumental efficiency gains at 43 of their auction sites around the globe.
